First time incubating

I know that the temps are supposed to be 38 Celsius. I have been taking measurements of my incubator and it seems there is always a gradient. Just wanted to know if the temps was fine. When I set the incubator to 38.4c the far left is at 38.9c and the far right is at 38.1c. Would this be OK for hatching chicks?

Correction. The far left was 39c. I changed the temp to 38.3 and now the far left is at 38.8 and far right 37.9. Should I set it at 38.4 or 38.3?

Sorry, no one was able to answer, how did your hatch go?

I had a 100%hatch. I kept 14 eggs 1 was infertile, 12 that were fine and 1 who had a broken air cell on the last few days and still hatched. Leaving me with 13 chicks
