Ive bought a brand new cuvatutto 24 and I have eggs arriving to 3 days. ive turned the incubator on to 'burn off' and new plasticy smells.
What do I disinfect it with, im in the uk!
Its running at a constant 100.
Has anyone else used one of these?

Yes, I am using one. You should be able to grab a standard cage/brooder disinfectant from a DIY or pet store. Whereabouts in the UK are you? I am near Cambridge.

Cornwall!

I thought that the 1st 18 days at 60% humidity then 80% for the last 3 days but the man at the feed store reckons 40-50% humidity for first 18 days then to 80% for the last 3 days. Ive got a humidity checker and extra thermometer its running at 37.5c. Ive bought Vikrons going to clean it a.m. Soooooo eggcited.

Have you set yours?

Ive got a mixed batch of orps going in, and some very special Marsh Daisys.

Two buff orps in the 'bator right now - one has pipped.

Try for 45% for the first 18 days, and 65% for days 19 and beyond.

I am in the UK also and run by bator at 45/50% for the first 18 days then bump it up to between 65/75% during lock down but i am using a polystyrene bator that my DH made for me instead of my dearly departed broody Paxo. first time using a bator so:fl lock down starts at mid-day today, have seen a couple of small rocks but no cheeps as of yet. Got my % from a lady that has been hatching for the last 25 years so am trusting her judgement and figures.

mines running at 47% with no water in it. So that should be ok.
