you need to let shipped eggs rest for 24 hours before you put them in. I dont know what you mean by positions. Eggs should be turned 3 times a day so the membrane of the embryo doesn't stick to the shell.

When you put the eggs in the incubator tray, isn't the smaller side of the egg go downward in the tray? The cabinet incubator does all the turning?

Yes, narrow end down, if you have a turner you're good.

I am incubating SLW from Dawn Watson, I ordered 12 and have 4 in lock down. All of the eggs had damaged air sacks and a bunch were not fertile. I hope yours fare better on their trip to you.

Hmmm.

The first thing I'm going to say is that I have never incubated an egg in my life, so the grain of salt you should take this advice with is very, very small.

68% RH sounds too high, and 46% sounds too low. What I've read indicates that it needs to be between 55 and 60 for the first 18 days, then bumped up to 65% for the last three days.
