You'd be surprised, I did an assorted straight run of silkie bantams last summer and ended up with all pullets. The only cockerel I had was the mystery chick I volunteered for.

I considered taking the one mystery chick they had but decided two "wild cards" are plenty for my little flock.

Wow, your chicks are beautiful! Right now I'm raising two polish-silkie cross, but I already passed the 8weeks mark, so I guess it doesn't count
