We finally had a warm enough day, and all the snow is finally melted so we let the baby's out for a whole day! They had so much fun. Pecking all day.

HOWEVER........... I'm I little worried, I haven't been feeding any scraps yetand they are still on starter feed, so I haven't given them any grit yet. I didn't really think about it, but they were probably eating some grass and little spring bugs out there. Will they eat some dirt along with it? Obviously it's Easter Sunday so I can't just run out and get any grit until tomorrow. Is this ok?

They should be fine, they can probably find little pebbles with it and whatnot to eat as well. They'll manage for one day. Nothing to worry about, but if you're going to make it a habit of letting them, go ahead and get some chick grit for them.

I have kind of lost track of how old they are, but I think 5-6 weeks old. They are almost completely feathered.
