Good morning! We have been hand feeding some wet starter to our 4 day old babies for a couple days. They love it and think they are getting a treat- and they come running to us❤️. I made it in a jar and leave on the counter. Yesterday it was bubbling a little so I think it’s fermenting. Should I throw this out and start fresh with a smaller amount? It’s medicated feed. TIA.

NO!

Just scoop some out and add some dry to get it to the consistency you want and feed it to the chicks.

Then add more dry and more water to the fermenting mix, stir well and leave it at room temperature to continue fermenting.

I've been feeding fermented feed to my flock from the hatch to death for nearly 7 years. My current batch of fermenting broiler mash has been running for 3 years by using the method of removal and addition noted above.

Ok, I didn’t think I was supposed to ferment the medicated kind, not sure where I saw that. I have been reading and watching so many videos trying to learn everything I can!

It doesn't matter.
I have personally never fed it. I just keep Corid on hand in the event of an outbreak.
I prefer to expose chicks to their environment as early as possible by giving them clumps of sod from their future run. Or raising them in a build in brooder in my coop that has its own outdoor run.
But primarily broody hens raise all my new chicks so they are on the ground usually by day 3.
