First Time Outside

Today I took my 3 older girls(4.5wks) outside and they loved it!
They weren't as afraid as I thought they would be.

Cool! Way better than mine! I have three 4ish month old girls. I got them about a month ago. They were scared silly to go out of the coop, much less the run, for the longest time! Now I have to play chase if I don't let them put themselves to bed at night... Can't wait until I get our big chicken play area fenced all the way so I don't have to watch so closely and can also let the poor dogs back out to roam more often! Yeay for chickens that like the outdoors!

you know what music to my ears .people have told me to wait till 6 or 7 weeks but 4.5 is perfect because that's what mine are

It's getting so hot and humid here in NE that I thought some fresh air would be good for them.
I also turned off their heat lamp today, the coop/run will be done in a week, if the darn rain holds off for that long,
then the girls will be out of the brooder for good.

are there any restrictions on backyard chickens in NE DOC58.just wanted to know because I've got family in Taunton . and they all love chickens
