Who shuffles eggs around their incubator?

Not turning, but moving their position. Those in the middle to the edges and vice versa. I am running a maticoopx 20.

I am at the end of my first hatch in my Maticoopx20 and the only shuffling I did was removing a tray and consolidating down to 3 trays as when I pulled eggs that didn't make it. They started hatching yesterday and I have 4 left to hatch. So far I really like this incubator.

I don't do that on purpose or with any system. Mine can get shuffled somewhat when I candle but that is random.

Some people purposefully move their position. The concern is that certain areas may be cooler than others so they move them around so all are affected equally. It's average temperature during incubation that counts much more than any instantaneous temperature. Most commercial incubators should be OK with this but homemade incubators can have cool or hot spots.

I am not aware of any other reason to shuffle the eggs. Do you have a specific concern?

No concern, I had just seen it mentioned several times here. Didn't know how common the practice is.
