This site is great. You folks have answered more questions than I could even imagine. Lived in the city and raised 4 kids with great success. Proud of them all. Now it is my time to play. Always wanted to raise some chickens but the situation wouldn't let me . Bought a dozen Buff Orp hatching eggs and they arived the 14th. I have them in the incubator and the turner only tips them back and forth. Should I give them a 1/4 of a turn from time to time for an even turn?
Can't wait till the first candeling. I am like a kid at christmas just waiting. Thanks for any answers. John

The tipping that the turner is doing is sufficient to move the air cell and stop the embryo from sticking to the inside of the shell. No need for a 1/4 turn and best to not open the incubator if you can help it.

temp should be 99.5 in a wiggler
humidity should be 50-60% on day 1-18

on day 18, take them out of the turner (not the incubator), lay them on their sides and increase the humidity to 60-70%

Good Luck!
