First time treating bumblefoot

I would soak the foot in warm epsom salts to soften it up, or alternately you can apply decolorized iodine and wrap the foot over night to soften it up. Remove the scab that is in the center, it looks fairly small. Do some manipulation and squeezing to see if you can get any pus out, the pus will likely look like little cream or white chunks if there is any there. Flush it out well with chlorhexidine (hibiclens) or diluted betadine povidone iodine. Fill the hole with plain neosporin or plain triple antibiotic ointment (not sure what you can get there, polysporin, etc) , cover with a bit of gauze or telfa pad and wrap. I would change the bandaging daily and reapply the ointment then. Give it a little time for swelling to start to reduce. You can soak it daily if you have time. Possibly you may need to flush it again, but hopefully the first cleaning will get it.
Thanks very much for your advice. I traumatized her enough today getting the photos, so I'll start my soaks tomorrow after work. I'll update when there is something to update. Thanks!

Ethel has yet to realize we are not trying to kill her by treating her. I haven't got the scab worked off yet. We have done 2 soaks so far and 2 bandages. I was hoping to do another tonight but now I have a new issue that has come from this.

It would appear that due to the stress of being bathed/held for the treatment, she prolapsed her vent both times. The first time it went back in almost right away, the second time it stayed out a few minutes and then went back in. I'm afraid that it's going to increase in time being out with each treatment and maybe not go back in at all. She gets major stress poops while we are holding her.

Now I'm afraid to continue the treatments, although either way, I will have to catch her and remove the current bandage. The bandages don't seem to phase her at all, she still goes about her business and is not paying any attention to this second bandage. She pulled at the first one a little but quickly left it alone.
