First Time using my RCom King Suro 20

Thanks everyone...I candled my eggs one last time. (all eight look like they are ok)...I moved them all into an egg carton and opened my vent...I raised the humidity for hatching...Now I wait!...I REALLY appreciate all of your input!..Thanks a million!

so when everyone is mentioning the egg carton that they get switched to, do you mean the lid part or the actual egg cup part

How exciting...Hope your eggs all hatch out for you!...I am using the actual egg cup part of the egg carton...Since I only have 8 eggs in the incubator I actually cut it down to 10 cups and put the eggs in the carton small end down...I also cut the tops off of the hills of the carton between each cup...Not sure I needed to do that or not...This is my first hatch in this incubator and I am hoping we get some to hatch out!..Good luck with your CBM's...

Got my Suro King today!! Easy to put together, easy to set. I hope it's going to work well. Did yours come with a thermometer? Mine didn't and I don't want to trust the ones that I've had around for awhile so I guess I'm off to pick up a couple of therm/hygro. combos. I meant to order the Brinsea spot check thermometer, but I really want one with a hygrometer too.

If all stays stable for a few hours, I'm going to transfer my eggs into it.

Mine didn't come with one either.
Those spot checks are nice though, we finally got on and can even stick it in the hole on the GQF or in other bators, but have to open the suro to get a reading since the vent hole is above the heating element.

received ours as well and no thermometer but do we need another one since it has the readout? would the second be to just double check the initial temp/humidity to see if it held true to what the suro reads? also...anyone that put together one of these so far...how did your little pump tube run through the it? i saw where it is to go in the box and go across the little wheel like thing and out the other side then it goes into the suro. but how does the tube stay tight on it? i don' t know if i am making sense or not but i am really stressed and put it away right now. is it possible for someone to post a pic of what the inside of the little pump part looks like on theirs where the tube runs through the box? *not the incubator where it connects

thanks

So the flexible tube slips over the small whitish tube sticking out the top of the incubator on the right side. It is a bit difficult to push it on, but if you wet it a little bit it will go on easier.

Yes, I use the therm/hyg to double check the read-out. My read-out is perfect and I have 11 of 11 eggs developing!! I think I'm really going to like this incubator!!

Because of a family emergency I have someone else egg-sitting 37 eggs for me. tomorrow is lockdown...what do I tell them to do to get the humidity up to 75%

Help!

Hi there,

I have been looking everywhere to find out what the humidity level should be on the king suro 20 incubator when hatching begins....i am hatching pekin ducks and one is halfway out and the others have started cracking...oh and its day 30....also the one thats hatching seems to be a little stuck...i have my humidity on 70% and temperature on 37.5 degrees celcius...is this right??

Thanks so much
