I am running a test hatch with my new incubator! It is a aceshin, I know not the best but it was what I could afford for now. Hopeful for a decent hatch rate, it had good reviews. Has anyone ever used it? I set 48 eggs! They are all getting candled tomorrow(day 5). I’m not expecting an amazing percentage with 1 roo covering over 20 hens but excited to see!! I’ll give an update tomorrow!

I've never used that specific one, but my first two tries incubating I used a cheaper incubator that reminds me a bit of that one and still had a fairly good hatch rate, considering. Good luck to you!

Following to see how it works out for you. I bought a cheap one and trying it out (on day 5) but I lay hearing bad things about it so I'm not expecting much.

Well sorry for the late update! Day 20 with 20 eggs left! It looked like 2 had died very early on my guess is day 6 or earlier, including a double yolk one that I didn’t notice until it was already developing. The others weren’t fertilized which I thought would be the case since my rooster had over 20 hens at the time. These 20 are doing great! They are in lock down and should start hatching tomorrow night!

I’m literally in love!! 3 hatched so far the silver one has got to be my favorite chick I’ve ever hatched! It has a black spot over one eye and looks so sassy!
the silver is a barnevelder x black ameraucana

And there is another solid black one hatched that I haven’t pictured yet as it’s still in the incubator
