Sounds like she is on her way to perking up very well. 
I doubt that its a bantam cochin exclusive thing, but i do notice with my bantam cochins that they like to snuggle under another chick, or even under a stuffed animal moreso than my other breeds. Some folks hang feather dusters just barely off the floor and chicks like to snuggle under them like a momma hen. They seem shy at first, until they get a little confidence.
