first time with meat birds

We got our meat kings last Tuesday, and they are growing so darn quick!
my question is how long do they live? because when they said that they live 8-12 weeks I was assuming that it was after the initial 8 weeks it takes to get them outside
is this right?
how long should we expect it to take for their feathers to come out, how soon should we put them out

I would assume 8 - 10 weeks total and it'll be time to cull. Short lives for sure.

Most of the fast growing (usually cornish crosses) meat birds are slaughtered at 8 - 10 weeks of age. They are bred to grow and not much else, so they reach "market weight" in that short time. YOu can weigh them to be sure they are heavy enough for processing.
