First time with turkey eggs - question about candling

When can you expect to see veins in a turkey egg? I bought two slate blue eggs just under a week ago. I realize the incubation is similar to guineas (28 days) but when should I expect to see veining if they are in fact fertile?

i didn't candle my turkey eggs until end of week two. but that was my choice. i know you don't do it as soon as chicken eggs but i can't remember the exact day. might be around when i did it.

by day 6 you should see a little red spider, but to be sure I would wait another week to be sure.

Turkeyand peafowl at 10 days. Any eggs that takes 28 days to hatch. Again after 17 to 20 days.

We usually do ours at day 10 or 14 and then once more at day 21.
