First timer and ordering a cackle BOX of 15 heritage males for thanksgiving dinner.....

I was curious as to how they had this special, because when I was ordering turkeys, I didn't have the option of male or female. So how are they selling just males?

The ad linked from facebook says that they are replenishing their own breeding stock, so that is why they are selling just males. I'm sure it's a pain to sex, but when they are needed for the hatchery they obviously take the time to do it. Pretty cool to get boys from a group of females that are being considered for breeding stock!!

RGreenfamily - did you get the special?
I did, just picked them up from the post office today. Most of them were all one breed, but I'm ok with that, they were the breed I wanted - Blue Slate. Then one Bourbon Red and one that is either a Narragansett or a Bronze. Hoping to get a female or two since vent sexing is not an exact science.
