My incubation was around 47% and this morning I cranked it up and its at 80%. The glass is wet and cant hardly see inside. Is this to high? It is Miss Priss home made Chick bator with fan I am using.
Thanks

80% is too high, you need to try to bump it down somewhere between 60 - 70%. I've heard some folks go as high as 75%. My last hatch I kept it at 70% during lockdown and it went fine.

Ok thank you. ihave read many different % to go by.

I did the same thing on my first hatch. Some site said 80 - 90% so I maintained about 85% humidity. I lost 3 chicks during hatching, they pipped but didn't hatch. A lot of folks here told me to get the humidity down so I tried 70% and had a better hatch and didn't lose any this time. There's a lot of opinions out there, I'm just telling you what works for me. If 80% works good in your incubator then it's ok. The only way you're really going to know is to wait and see.

I took all the plugs out and now its at 70%. I will try to get it at 60-65%
