First Timer Looking For Hatch Buddy!

Carrie CONGRATS!

I just went into my shop and I have a baby hatched. One of my Isa babies.

I'm kind of worried here tho, 2 days ago when I went on lock down, I put a sponge in there but didn't use hot water to soak the sponge and I should have known better so my temp went down to 96 so I turn up the temp a bit , went fishing and came back a couple hours later to 2 different readings. One said 102 and the other said 106 and this is in the one bator that has just my eggs hatching today. So I hope I didn't cook the rest of them in there? Dont seem to have bothered this baby thats hatched tho. So maybe we are okay.

Im sure with my temps going up and down in that one bator Im gonna have hatches unto tomorrow also as I only see one more egg rocking.

I'll get pictures up as soon as I drive to the city and get a new camera (mine drown in the flood last month)

Cheering everyone on for a wonderful hatch day!

Edit: #2 almost out of the shell another Isa baby. Hope he's not stuck on the end *sigh

Will get photos of all of them once the hatchers are done!

Uh Oh, somebody opened their bator

You do know it's physically impossible to remove a chick from the bator without opening it, don't you, so those beautiful, adorable, gorgeous pics are proof positive somebody opened their bator

Jeez, all that typing last night, and I forgot to tell you all...
I have babies!!! 12 of the 22 in there have hatched. Not sure if the remaining eggs will hatch or not-day 21 isn't over officially until 8pm tonight. I think I hear 1 that has pipped into it's aircell, but not the shell yet. It's kind of hard to hear with the others in there still. But the cheeping is much quiter than the others, like it sounded before the others hatched.

I can't post pics though

I'm so happy for everyone too - Carrie, 12 out of 22, that's pretty good, and there may be more, you never know! How exciting!

This is wayyyyyyyyyyy addicting, isn't it! I see more coops on the near horizon....LOL! Even DH was curious and giddy to see them pipping. (He's hooked

CONGRATS To Kiwi (great pictures), Luvin and Carrie.

I only had 6 hatch so far and one died in the shell. I dont know why tho as he had pipped and his beak was right there so he could breath. But when I did peel the shell back and carefully dump him out, it looked like he didnt absorb all of the yoke. Then one died as soon as it popped out of the shell and the whole yoke sack was attached to his rear like it was deformed. I wonder if those deaths have anything to do with the bator temp hitting 104 the other day?? And it did it again today too. It hard to get those LG bators to regulate properly if you even just turn it up a hair.

Ive got 2 Std Cochin and 9 Isa x eggs left in the bator but I dont think they'll hatch as they are a day late. But Im gonna leave them a couple more days just in case.

NY You only have a few more days until you'll be right there with us hatch. SENDING GOOD HATCHING VIBES your way!!

I opened my bator once a day during lock down to check for peeps lol Daughter says she does it all the time and has great hatch rates. As a matter of fact, she hatched 16 yesterday, has 15 more to hatch in 2 days then a bunch a few days after that. I can see it now, her 7 acres will look like the town of bonanza with old fashion coops everywhere. LOL (Im showing my age again)

Also if anyone wants Isa eggs in a week or so, (my girls are molting right now)let me know and I will send you some for the price of shipping and materials to pack them up.

Good luck to everyone else that is hatching soon!

Has anyone heard from FluffyColor?
