This is my second try with duck eggs and some of my eggs are pipping. I've noticed 2 of my eggs have holes in the bottom of them. In other words, tiny pieces of the shells have fallen off the bottom of the eggs. I don't know if I leave them alone or turn them. One is moving quite a bit the other I haven't seen move. I can't find any answers about this being normal. We are on day 27. Any help on what to do would be appreciated.

Subscribing. I don't know the answer but I'd sure like to know too, I think I have a chick doing that.

Good luck with your ducklings

Bumping so hopefully you get an answer.

But while I'm here is there a pip in the right place AND a lower chip?

If it's just the one spot and facing down, personally I'd turn it.

Someone else I'm sure will say not to, so let's see what you hear.

Good luck.

Thanks for that help. No Pip on the 2 with chips. I'm leaning toward turning but I don't want to make the situation worse.
