Hi guys!

This is my very first hatch, and I've been feverishly checking my eggies every day. They're coming along pretty well, and this is my first photo at 6 days (sorry, I didn't take photos of earlier candlings). I plan to update this thread with their development, I hope that you all can give me pointers and advice to see if they're reaching their benchmarks on time or if they're not getting big enough, fast enough.

Here is the bigger egg at the end of day 6. I can see the little heart beating!

Day 7 - They just keep growing! The camera is starting to have trouble differentiating the darker veins from the yolk, so I edited the color a bit to make the embryo visible. It's starting to look more bird-shaped every day!

Day 8: It's still a bit early (I usually candle in the late-afternoon) but here are both eggs for a side-by-side comparison. Is it just me, or does one seem to be growing faster than the other? Should I be concerned? Maybe I'm just being paranoid...the eggs are difficult to see through as they're not completely white. What do you guys think?

(ignore that black spot to the right, that's just where I marked the egg with "X")

*bump*

I really hope someone replies...I could really use the advice. :/

They look good to me! They will all develop differently, so I wouldn't worry, it is still alive I think. Pictures are hard to tell! I know how you feel though, I think the last three weeks were terrible for my high blood pressure and anxiety!! But all that worrying and I hear 13 peeping now!!

Oh Molly, you don't know how much of a relief that is to hear! I haven't hatched eggs since I was a little kid back on the farm, so this is nerve-racking! I have no children, so I keep checking my bator every hour making sure that everything's okay. They're going to be my fluffy babies. :p

Oh, also I forgot to post this earlier, but just for the heck of it here's a picture of my little rescued Canadian goose, Chub-chub at 6 days old.<3

I am the same way!! I check them nonstop!! Good thing I had to work today or it would have been a long one!! Hang in there! I couldn't candle every day!!

Day 9: Embryos getting bigger, I can now clearly see a little lump!

However, a weird little space has shown up overnight on one of the eggs. It's almost as if there are two air cells hugging one another. What on earth is going on in there?

Day 10: Lookin' pretty busy in there! Even the weird air cell duckie seems to be doing just fine. Only time will tell.
