Luce50 - you agree with me, LOL. My point is a prefab is more suited to 3 birds and that to have 6 birds you need two coups.
However, the original poster is from Pennsylvania, can get quite a bit of snow. The places that have severe winter need very good ventilation and space for the birds long term. Which is why I recommended a walk in coop - it gives a lot more volume of air over all.
You do have a valid point, we do not all have the same situation for raising chickens.
