I got my brooder box ready to go. I washed my feeders and Waters with bleach and water. Cant hardly believe it is almost time.

I just went and looked in the hatcher and can see 3 eggs that have started to pip. I just check about an hour ago and nothing. Kinda weird how they started at the same time. How long should I leave them in for after they get out of the egg? Is this a little early? I put them in like 20 days and 5 hours ago.

Don't have any pics right now, but will take some. I have actually started building a new one. It will be an incubator on the bottom and hatcher on top that will be separated with separate controls. I will just rob the hardware and controls off of the hatcher and incubator that I have already built. I have tons of wood in my shop so it wont cost many any thing but time. A person has to do something when its too cold to fish and hunting season is over. I enjoy building a fire in my shop and tinkering with stuff when it is nasty outside. Plus, I think I have learned a couple things.

Well Ive got 2 outta the shell and more pips. The 2 that are out look pretty weak....is that normal?

Yes. Hatching is tremendously tiring for them, so they'll just lay there recouping their energy and drying off for quite a while. Of course, it varies from chick to chick, but most of mine take at least a couple of hours to really start moving around much.

The first 2 are looking pretty good now and have a 3rd that just poped out. 2 of the 5 brown eggs have hatched and the rest have pipped. Only 1 white egg has hatched and none of the other 5 have piped. Wonder why? I believe that I candled 3 of them and they looked good, I know for sure 2 of them did.
