The one on bottom is the incubator. It has an lg turner that I bought at TSC. I had to buy the temperature controllers, fans, and hardware. I built the incubator, and turned a wooden box that I already had into the hatcher. I got the plexi glass off of a big screen tv that I replaced just before Christmas. I probably have 100 bucks in the 2 of them. I will have my new and improved incubator/hatcher combo done in a week or so and will rob the required parts when I get done with all the eggs that I currently have in there. I bought the temperature controllers off of ebay for about 25 each shipped. I dont know how long they will last, but they allow you to adjust you temp differential to .3 degC. they only read out in C, but that fine for me. Took about 2 weeks to get from China. they also allow you to calibrate, which I thought was nice. I used a medical thermometer for reference in a cup off water heated to about 100 degF.

Also I hadn't mentioned it before, but I have these in my unheated garage and the temp has been from near 0 to 60 outside. I figure if you have the right temperature controller you can get away with that. May be wrong though. Figured my house was outside, and it maintains what ever temp I set my thermostat, why cant the bator? May not work when it gets above 100 this summer.

4 of the 5 brown eggs have hatched and 2 of the 6 white eggs have hatched. I figure that I will get them out in the morning. I am outa town right now but had my father in law go over and check them out and he said that hey all seemed to be doing fine.

All five of my brown eggs hatched and I have 1 more pip in a white egg. If it hatches it will bring me up to 9 of 11 total eggs. My 27 eBay eggs and 2 eggs of my own will go in the hatcher tomorrow. Will have to hustle to get it cleaned up. Was planning on doing it tonight, but looks like I will have to wait till in the morning.

Well 10 of the 11 have hatched. Fixing to go and see if the last egg has any signs of life. Cant believe so many hatched, not bad for a rookie.

Well I pulled the plug on the last one. It looked to be fully developed, but it was dead for some reason. May have been upside down. It was one of those eggs that was hard to tell.

Moved 28 eggs to the hatcher yesterday. 26 barred rocks and 2 of my own ameruacanas. Hope that I can sell some of these. Ive got 26 more in the incubator also.

Today is day 21 and so far only 2 eggs have hatched and no other pips that I can see.
