I went today to get two Bourbon Red poults and came home with a peacock baby! I made the mistake of taking my son with me and he can't resist animals. We just had to have one lol. Anyway, by time we got home I couldn't remember what kind the man said it was. After looking at some posts on here I believe he said Pied. I will try to post a pic tomorrow. I''m so excited!

You should go back and buy another 1-2 peas so the new pea doesn't get so lonely,,,peas are very attached to each other as they get older, and Peas should be kept seperate from Poultry because of diseases poultry carries that Peafowl aren't immune to

Thank you for the information. The man I got it from raises turkeys and peacocks. He told me to put my pea in with the last 2 turkeys I got from him. They are two 3 week old Royal Palms and the peacock is 2 weeks old.

He is right, see if they have another pea chick. At the very least I guess those baby turkeys will keep it company. Never had turkeys but I've heard they are similar in nutritional requirements. Good luck with it and PICTURES PLEASE!!!

Welcome to the world of peas! And the guy you got them from was correct, the turkeys would keep them company and they'd mostly get along when raised together. However, what's the fun of just one!! They'll have a much better time together :) Looking forward to pics!
