mine are developing their wing feathers already. I was greeted this morning by them all jumping and flapping. Needless to say, hastily constructing a new, bigger box for my tortoise so the quail can go in his current digs... which has higher walls and will be getting a mesh lid!

I'm making Christmas babies with this children's incubator. These eggs are from my chickens and will be mixed up little mutts because I don't have matching hens and roosters lol.

I should probably tell you what they are ;). The one at the top is a black sex-link female and silver lacewing wyandotte, the middle is my auracana hen with same rooster and the bottom is either my red star or my Welsummer crossed with a Columbian Wyandotte male.

I put Bernadette in with Penny and Penny is grabbing her feet and flipping her. And pecking at her near her eyes. Should I keep them seperated till they go in the Coop? Or will this behavior stop in a few days once the baby gets older?
