First Turkeys, Bourbon Reds

Hope I could have some bourbon reds in the future, we have no purebreed here in Indonesia. I think we do have what you call mottled, and the white that breed on their owns.... nowadays some breeders are developing brownish ones, what do you call them. Plan to have mine in near future.

I hatched 3 Bourbon Reds yesterday...I already love them..they are the smartest poults I've ever hatched....Years ago I had a trio of the Bronze Turkeys, the tom was so mean I found another home for them. I am hoping the Bourbon reds are a lot nicer to have around...~Charm1704

Bourbons were our first foray into the world of heritage turkeys after we decided we could never do Broad Breasteds again. I just love them for their personalities. Of all my birds they're the friendliest and most courageous and oh my, that royal attitude they have! They think ALL treats belong to them.
