So I have my first batch of turkeys on the way. I ended up getting 20 BBB. I also have 75 naked necks and 50 red rangers coming same week. I am hoping that the chickens will show the turkeys what to do. Can I move them out to the tractors on pasture the same time as the chickens? The weather here in WI has been mid 80's low 90's and looks to be staying that way. So I was hoping to move them out of the brooder on the start of week 3. And putting a 4 x 4 tecfoil type box out in the tractor so that they can all go underneath it if they get cold.
Any advice on raising tukeys? Is it the same as raising chickens? My plan is to raise them all together and process all the week before turkey day putting them at 16 weeks or so. Will they be a good size for turkey day?
