My sapphire gem layer one tiny egg about six weeks ago. I thought she must have graduated to a bigger egg size more quickly than normal and her eggs were just blending in with the other brown layers. Then I got another tiny egg a few days ago. Nothing since. I’ve never had a new layer do this. Anyone else?

What's inside the tiny eggs?
Would be good to know for sure if she's been laying all along or not,
are you other brown layers young or older?
She may be a lemon.

My son smashed the basket the first one was in so idk 🙄 but this one had mostly white with a tiny bit of yolk. The other brown layers are a year old.

Like exactly 12 months old.....or maybe 14-18 months old?
Could be from an older bird, slowing production for molt and winter break.
I got them in March, so I guess more like 18 months. They are starting to molt. I thought they just slowed production. Egg size can change this dramatically too?

Most birds stop laying before or during molting because of short days and energy needed to grow new feathers.
