Posted once before but I thought I would put some pictures and a description up.


(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
New this year. Got our first chicks 21 weeks ago.... Mid Summer

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
9... SHHHH! Don't tell. I can only have 6 technically haha

(3) What breeds do you have?
5 Buff Orpington (Thing 1, Thing 2, Bertha, Scratch, Dinner)
2 Easter Egger (Mumble and Gloria)
1 Rhode Island Red (Amber)
1 Swedish Flower (Sunflower)

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Eggs!

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Metal Detecting, Fishing, Coin Collecting, CCG's, Gardening

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Married with 2 young children (2.5 and 1/2 years old).

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
Google always seemed to pull up BYC whenever I would google a question. So here I am!

New this year. Got our first chicks 21 weeks ago.... Mid Summer

9... SHHHH! Don't tell. I can only have 6 technically haha 24 Serama, 6 longtails, 3 turkeys.

(3) What breeds do you have?

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Eggs! Having the hens go broody, waiting for the chicks to hatch, and watching them grow.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Metal Detecting, Fishing, Coin Collecting, CCG's, Gardening Gardening, bonsai, building things with my hands.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Married with 2 young children (2.5 and 1/2 years old). Retired teacher-married-one grown son-two adopted special needs children that have passed-7 dogs.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D Joined 2015 when lookingf online for assistance dealing with a problem I did not recognize.
