Fish meal in layer feed - should I buy it??

I wish someone could direct me to a chicken feed that contains fish meal in it. I live in central florida.

If you added fish meal, how much would you add to 50 lbs of chicken feed?

mazuri gamebird breeder has fish meal. I feed it to my showbirds with great results. It is not cheap. $20 for 50lbs

Fish meal is a high quality, high protein feed component. A little goes a long way. If you added 5# per 50 # chicken feed; that's 10% protein; added to the current level of 16-20% and that's a waste of protein. Try 1-2# per 50#. Fishmeal can impart a fishy taste and the feed company's know this so they do not exceed a specific level in the feed. Wish I had some fishmeal!

I read something interesting about Petco having Koi pellets that were fish meal. I'll have to check it out!
