If you can post a pic it would help in IDing it. If nothing else you can give it a temporary home until it can be housed in a larger home. If keeping it indoors is out of the question in a bigger tank (if it is a goldfish), outside in a pond tub might be an option, as is finding it a home with someone else. Goldfish are fun fish. You can teach them to take food from your fingers. Personally, I like the brownish colored ones.

you can teach goldfish stuff? i guess i probably don't have one then, he seems rather dumb. his name is Wilfred. I'll post a picture of him tomorrow.

Just about any fish can be trained, technically. Fish are creatures of habit. If you repeat something over and over (such as coming up to the take to feed them), they will recognize you and realize "oh food will appear when that guy is there!". Which is why your fish swim up to you when you come close to the tank; they think they're getting food haha.

Just cleaned out the tank with the marineland 330 now time to do the betta tank haha
