    Cool! When did that happen? I nearly caught an 8 pound Coho Salmon but it fell of the hook.

    Up in the Rockies the brook trout are going wild on grasshoppers right now. I grew up on Gulf seafood, but I've never had anything tastier than a super-fresh brookie. Though this time of year I tend to let the man do most of the fishing while I wander around picking raspberries, huckleberries, blueberries, rose hips, watermelon berries, etc. I like to serve the fish with some root veggies from the garden and warm apricot & wild-berry salad - I call it "the bear's dinner."
