fixing styrofoam...

Hubby said plumbers tape might work, it tolerates moisture and a little heat up to 130 or so....

Let us know how it's going.

Best of luck!

Pure silicon, over foam cut to fit the hole. Silicon is safe once dry/cured, tolerates over 300 degrees of heat, if pure, and is moisture/water proof. It's what I used to repair my first one when a mouse tunneled into it.

I found a LG in an abandoned barn a few months with the same problem .. I just used old rags to stuff it and duct tape to seal it.. It holds the temps great.. cant get the humidity but I think thats my booboo...

I remember my mom having some round foam pink curlers. It seems like you could stuff them in the hole/tunnel and then cut out some styrofoam and make tight plugs to put in the ends and some type of tape or sealant. Not sure where you would find that kind of curlers nowdays..maybe Sallys or somewhere might have them
