Debby Duck
Songster
Hi, I'm putting my information out now although I don't know if I'll have to give up my babies yet.
They are 3 white crested ducks, 4 1/2 years old. They have been free on my back lake and then locked up at night. But an otter has taken up residence in the lake and now they are cooped all the the time.
It breaks my heart to have to give up my boys. And I'm trying everything to avoid it. I've hired a trapper, but so far still haven't caught that otter. It's been several weeks, and I'm starting to lose hope. I also realize I can't keep these ducks living under these circumstances too much longer.
But if I have to give them up I really want them to go to a safe, loving home. I know this sounds crazy, they're ducks. But I raised them and would do just about anything for them.
If you think you might be interested please let me know. I'm a nervous wreck thinking that there are no options out there for them. And that worse comes to worse, I have to let them go on the lake and keep my fingers crossed, hoping for the best.
I'm attaching a recent picture of them. But they're in their new swimming pool off the patio.
