Pretty active around here lately - a result of the cold weather?

Yeah. And having to lift the wood bin, and shovel the walk.

We found a huge wood work box under the open porch when we moved here.
That is still our wood box. I did scoop it out with a dustpan.

We got several inches of rain overnight and it has been cloudy and damp all day. Northeast wind did nothing to improve the weather. Good thing is it wont last long. We start planting early crops in February.

We have fog in the mornings and our temps are ranging from 38 to 61. We will get closer to a normal temp variation after Friday.

65 miles NW of us, they got another 15" of snow today, all lake effect. They've had 24" in the last week, we've had 7.

Howdy old folk!
5 degrees here this morning. We've had 9+ inches of snow this past week then the cold set in. Very early for Missouri. Dare we hope that we are getting the January deep freeze out of the way early this year? Nah...won't be that lucky especially since every weather guessers prognostication for this part of the country is snowy and cold.

Chickens aren't happy and I'm not that tickled about it for that matter. Although I did look out the bedroom window early this morning and say a doe under the bird feeder happily munching away at bird food. So there are pluses.

Hey @Sally PB DH saw that you live in Belding. He used to race motorcycles at Grattan Raceway not far from you. He knows where Belding is.

Stay warm/dry/cool everyone depending on where you live.

Good afternoon Old Folks. It's a rainy cold day here in South Alabama good day to stay inside and stay warm. I try to remember this kind of day in August when it's 100 degrees with 60% humidity.
