Flaky Skin around Eyes & Ears

Hi all! This is my 12 week old Silkie “Bruce Wayne.” I noticed this evening he has a lot of flaky skin around his wattles and eye. His vent is clear and so is his feet. He is still molting and growing new feathers, so I wasn’t sure if that was normal to have some dry skin? If it’s dry skin, should I leave it or treat it with something? Pics in different lighting for reference attached.

Looks like just dry flaky skin or chicken dandruff ( to me) could even be the start of mites? I would get another opinion though, I’ve never had Silkies.

Thank you for your response. I really hope it’s not mites! Yikes! We will look over the rest of the crew and check vents and under wings.
