Flash Flood in Mississippi!

Hello, everyone. We have lost about 1/2 of our flock (chickens) to a flash flood. It happened without any warning. I still have some of my "babies"

, and when the flood waters competely receed and we clean/sanitize the coop we will put them back in. Right now they are roosting on top of the chicken house as there is no dry ground for them to get on. Pray for my little flock. It is very upsetting for us to lose them this way. I plan to start over with the few I have left.

Flood stage here is 17ft....and the flood waters got up to 22.50ft. Very bad situation for all of us...........but God has been good through it all!

Where abouts are ya in MS? I use to live there.I have an Aunt and Uncle that live near Laurel.I do remember we had a small boat we would have sitten next to the house just incase water would rise.Lived next door to my aunt and would paddle my way over to bring supplies.
Hope your babies make it ok! They able to get to food or anything? I heard chickens can live without food for almost a week.Good luck!
