Flash of Red

Today I went out for a routine check-up on the birds, and I brought some nice treats along with me. As the chickens flocked over, I got a surprise in the form of a flash of red under my Polish boy's crest!
I fed them all, then picked my boy up for a closer inspection, AND BY GOLLY, HE'S GROWING A HANDSOME COMB!

This is my first time with Polish birds and v-combs. Does this look like a V?

That is a V comb - it has a little bump in the middle I see

If you were showing him it would be a mark against him but they often have little anomalies like that - like us they aren't always perfect

Thank you for clarifying that the anomaly is normal. I'm just excited for my first V comb!
