Flea Nightmare

Tea Tree Oil does wonders. Its very strong smelling, but fleas hate it. I used it in my carpet one summer when the cat brought fleas home. They were gone within 3 days. Rub your pups down with a few drops, or make a warm bath and put enough oil into the bath water to be able to be smelled. Then put your dog in the water and make sure to rub it in really well. Dont use soap in the water though.

I have really held back on chemicals since it seemed that 9 years ago, my seizure dog seemed to have a sensitivity to them. But, this is how I ended up. Now I've starting using chemicals, and Thank God, it's not bothering him.

I have to say that I worked with this doc named Dr. Mary Newport, who is a preemie doc, but does research on Alzheimer's and coconut oil. She suggested I try it with my dog. Lo and behold, it's working. So if anyone has a dog with seizures, pm me and I'll give you the dosage.

I wouldn't recommend anyone feed garlic, it is toxic to dogs and cats the same as onions and the like

I had fleas like that before and was told about a million different remedies. I tried natural ones first. Nothing. Finally I used several flea bombs, washed the cats in flea shampoo then used advantage, I got rid of them. Zero. Nothing else worked.

Lisamae, I guess sometimes you just got to bite the bullet and use what works. I did the Frontline and we don't have any more fleas. I'm just glad he didn't have more seizures from it.

However, I guess Baxter was eating carpet, and we took him to emergency one night, and he had bowel surgery. If it's not one thing it's another!

Don't use ointments. Ask your vet about pills.

Yes, I give all of my dogs flea pills monthly, just like their heart worm pills. Just DON'T feed on an empty stomach unless instructed by box. Been there, done that, got puke and poop stains on my carpet to prove it. They were sick as dogs!

But they're safe when given properly.
