Flea prevention?

I'm wondering about the Bayer stuff too. If it is safe for cats, I might give it a try.

5 cats and 3 dogs using the Bayer Tree & Shrub product. Started using this last year or the year before. Had contacted someone on ebay that was selling the equivilent of Advantage without the high costs, as well as wormers. Basically what they did was research active ingredients in all cat/dog products, and found what other products contained the same active ingredients. They packaged in smaller containers with the instructions for how much for what animal and weights. I run in through my FARM VET, not the small animal vet, and she confirmed that everything I was using was the same, and was safe to use. My small animal vet refused to discuss it with me. Wonder why?

Of course my Farm Vet wasn't losing any money off me, because she was still going to have to come by for the horses, and wasn't treating the small animals to begin with.

So would the dosage for a large cat be 2cc like for a small dog? Or should it be less? Or how would you figure it out based on weight?
