The few eggs I get this time of year have brown flecks of material in the whites. The eggs are brown too. Also the shells are quite soft. Does anyone have any ideas what might this might be or what might be causing it? Thanks

soft shells usually mean a vitamin deficiency. most likely calcium. little "stuff" inside fresh chicken eggs are normal. even blood spots! it will still taste like an egg
