Flies and gnats bugging my turkeys!!

Google was helpful at finding videos of turkeys flying when I tried looking this up.

What can I do to help my turks against the pesky flies and gnats?? They're scratching their poor heads bloody.

There's a product called Flies Off I've used with great success - but it's for dogs/horses. Is there anything similar for poultry or has anyone used that for a turk before (it's a cream you can put on their ears etc)? The biters have been absolutely horrible this year!!

I'm sure there is a spray you can buy. do they get the sand bath it helps get rid of fleas. you could try spraying a like Listerine on the back of there necks. Sounds strange but Listerine is a great bug repellent.

Im going to try that! Should I get them an actual sand bath? They free range in the front yard where we have sandpits they bathe in but that's it.

Nope as long as theirs loose dirt and you see them lay down and do there thing it's fine. As long as its not like beach sand cause fleas like to live in that.
