I just ordered this device for flies. I am very anti-chemical, so this looked good to me. Wondering if any of you have used this and how were the results and the smell if any?

My guess is that it will be incredibly smelly. We have used fly traps before and they work really, really well. The smell, however, has made us turn to using other things like tape and paper unfortunately. If we had enough room to keep it further from the house, it would probably be fine as long as you aren't downwind. The smell was just as if there were a rotting carcass in the yard.

Great to attract flies but not so great for us!

Yes, that was my concern too. We will see how that goes.

If it uses the standard liquid attractant, it will smell like rotting flesh.

I have 2 of something similiar, but have caught just as many with a 2 liter soda bottle with Apple Cider Vinegar and honey mixed with water...bit cheaper to LOL!

I had a few last summer, they work great but the smell is awful! they smell like rotting rats!
