Flies EVERYWHERE!!

Hi there! Does anyone else have a problem with flies? They're everywhere and I have no idea how to get rid of them! I've tried disposable fly traps, but they don't seem to help at all. Any tips or ideas?

Welcome! Fly traps use attractants to catch the flies, so set them AWAY from areas you want to protect. Spalding's fly predators help a lot; I get those monthly in summer. Dampness and spoiled food laying around bring in flies too, and the birds do poop! The fly sticky strips do well, and I dust permethrin under the shavings, which also helps some. I haven't tried the vanilla scent thingies, but some here have. Mary

Just make sure no animals can get to it and don't get it on your hands.
