I couldn't believe this has actually worked BUT....
4 parts vanilla extract to 1 part water in a spray bottle... then spray. Easy peasy. I know it sounds crazy![]()
Good idea! I'm a regular at my local dollar store and sav-a-lot..... whatever works!!!!This sounds GREAT! I'm going to give it a try today.
The only downside I can see is the current cost of vanilla. But there's a solution for that too. It's not immediate, but if you buy bulk vanilla beans online you can chop them up and add them to a $30 bottle (vat) of Kirkland vodka from Costco. Put it aside in a dark place and agitate it from time to time. In about 6 months you will have almost 2 quarts of vanilla for about $60-70.
I know that sounds like a lot but the equivalent amount of vanilla extract is going for about $200 on Amazon. And, naturally, you can make a smaller batch. I just go for the whole thing because I do a lot of baking and I'm able to give homemade vanilla to my friends at Christmas.
Just sprayed the coops and run using my Madagascar vanilla extract... and honestly, within minutes, the neighbor’s kids just came over and asked...”Mmmmmm, what smells so good?!” LoL. Couldn’t help but think of Hansel & Gretel!!!
WARNING: It may repel flies, but it attracts hungry children!![]()
My 14 year old son just made them peanut butter and Nutella sandwiches and they are all eating out on the deck...... haha!Give them some chicken "cookies."![]()
