flies in duck pen

I too have lots of flies. I have the plastic bottle traps, sticky tape and that green net one with the bowl in the bottom. They all work well. Took several attempts to get the net/bowl one to work bait wise but I found a good one now.....cantaloupe. Still, I don’t know if I’m attracting them with that or just catching the ones around cuz even though they all work great, I still have lots of flies. I have dirt, grass and pea gravel areas in my pen. Yes, the pea gravel is easier to clean. I also have the wood chips down where the dirat area is. The chickens scratch up the ducks area. I was thinking about using that natural spray that has mint oil or something like that in it that flies don’t like but won’t harm the ducks/chickens. Does it work?

We had flies here....I hung th bag trap that smells like death near the duck run. Not sure if it was better or worse but it caught flies.

I also built a slanted duck deck around the pool to help keep things dry. THAT got rid of the duck smell.

This is before I closed in this side with hardware cloth. That rectangle is a hatch to the ball valve for draining it.

A true poop deck. I spray it off once I fill the pool. In this pic the pool was in process of filling.

Do you happen to have more pictures of that "Poop deck" and pool? That has given me ideas.
Sorry to comment on a zombie thread but I love that idea.
