Flies in run and coop

Fly traps are helpful, but remember that they work by attracting those flies! hang them away from the coop and house, not right at those locations. Also depending on the fly species, Spalding's fly predators are very useful; tiny wasps that only get the fly larva.
Permethrin is a good choice, but only inside the coop, not all over your property, because it harms all insects, and fish and frogs, etc. We use it in our coop and covered run only.

I get rid few thousand flies with the bug zapper setup last year. The key is a good stinking bait and decent bug zapper. I used the Flowtron BK-40D, but any other zapper would do. You can find my setup by searching on this site. Good luck.
