Flies keep biting my chickens!

For normal flies, sprinkle basil around in your coop. It works really well for the flies, is beneficial to the chickens if they eat some of it, and leaves the coop smelling really good.

yes instructions and pamphlet come with bottle. it is also good for mites in the coop if you ever get them @mixedUPturk can maybe give you some advice on how to apply the spray

Sorry man i compleatly missed this tag! i jus came to the board and im dumbfounded lookn at how many people have had these problems!

@Roostie i had to spray like twice a wk for two wks and still didnt get rid of All of them. Now ive treated wkly still and theyre not All gone but i can finally take my little humans outside without them getting eaten up and i havent had anymore losses since the first treatment. It keeps raining and that washes it away plus cutting the grass. Last year they lasted All spring and summer sometimes in greater numbers but always there. I live on a bayou with another across the st (breeding grounds) And the open fields they love to live in including my neighbors half acre of lawn, another neighbors half acre of front lawn And a pasture behind my house before the bayou. The last side is vacant compleatly overgrown and i have to make DH cut it so i can spray there too. I ended up treating All of those areas over the last month the closest 3 or 4 times and my own place 5 or 6 times, been thru two bottles of Premetherin 10.

I have three toddlers and am rebuilding the bird population, so Really not taking Any chances, but theyre Still out there, and ill probly continue spraying every wk for the whole summer. Theyre in low numbers but i think theres enough tree cover in my yard for them to survive even though it isnt the type of environment they prefer.
