Frogs.. NO!!! The chickens will eat them!
The chickens will also eat the fly larvae (maggots), especially if they are in the coop.

geojane42...because you live so close to Bellingham,I would come over and get a 50# bag of DE @ WFC in Lynden It sells for less than $20 and last a very long time. It is food grade. The B'ham store # is 360 734-4010 they can give you Lyndens # good luck

The bottle fly traps work for me. However, they stink pretty bad, and I don't know your personal situation, but they will attack bears. You may want to stick with the fly strips.

And about those electric bug zappers, I have one that has been hanging around for about two years and I have not seen it kill anything yet.

No problem getting food grade DE at the Otter Co-op or similair stores here spread around the valley. Cheap too.

Chickens will eat frogs??? Oh boy - didn't think of that one! We live next to a marshy wet-land and the occasional frog does hop our way. Should I be worried?
