What do you guys do to control flies?

Good question and I will be following others.

Most important seems to be to keep the bedding as dry as possible.

In the summer I will use those hanging fly catchers (glue covered) when it gets real bad.

I have used DE in the bedding but results are mixed.

Fly predators and liquid traps, compost splashed feed, use a cultivator to turn bedding.

My Ally duck lol

I watched Ally (f&w runner) eat about 75 flies today. She knew where they were hanging out and would run in, gobble a bunch, chase a few down, back to the pond to wash them down and repeat. She got her fill, washed down the last of her snack and sat in the sun.
Then Cadbury went over for some snacking. Then Attu ran around catching them as they were flying around.
That fly population took a huge hit.


It was them attracting them to begin with. They were the green flies that hang out on poop. One of the ducks had squired on the edge of the sidewalk and those flies descended from whereever.
